12/18 Blog

Hello Sophomore Honors Students!

First, I would like to wish you all the best over break and into the new year. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of you in class so far this semester.

Second, I really appreciate all of your suggestions about things to do in class. Ironically enough, several of your ideas were in the works already. I guess great minds really do think alike.

Finally, I would like to give you your blog assignment over the break. This blog asks you to take a look at several other blogs out there. What you need to do is find a blog entry which appeals to you in some way. The topic is competely up to you. Blogspot actually has several blogs to browse through, and there are several other sites which maintain blogs. Copy the blog and post it to this site. Be sure to cite where you got the blog! Your assignment after that is to write a two-paragraph response to the ideas presented in the blog.

Be sure to write two full paragraphs of six-eight sentences each and to use formal language in your writing. In response to previous requests, I am now asking that your blog entries use fully correct language. Grammar and mechanics will now be part of your score.

This blog is due on January 2, 2006. (Wow, that date looks strange!)

Have a great break and come back well-rested!

-Mrs. Schafer-Cloke

This week I would like you to answer the following question by Friday.

What is one activity you wish we would do on class? Please be as specific as possible. Bonus points will be given this week for responding to another student's initial response!

Blog #3

Hello my pretties!

This week I will be asking you to post twice to this blog. The first time I would like you to respond to the given question. The second blog will need to be in response to one of the other postings. To give you a bit more time, the first posting must be completed by Friday, but you have until Saturday to complete the second posting.

In your first response, please answer the following question: In what way does religion influence and/or affect relationships?

In your second response, please choose another student's response and provide your thoughts on his/her response.

In your responses, please avoid "im" language and slang. Use correct language in all of your writing.
