What is an honors student?

Last week I posted a question asking the students in my class to respond to a question about A Tale of Two Cities. As of Sunday, only 18 students had responded, even though the deadline for response was Friday. As a result, this week's question has nothing to do with any of the literature. Instead, I would like each of you to contemplate what sets an honors student apart from the rest of the population at Wenatchee High School. Please write at least two-three paragraphs on the concept of being an honors student and your expectations for yourself in that capacity.
