Weekly Blog Assignment

Hello Sophomore Honors English Students!

As of this week (November 21, 2005), each of you will be required to log on to this blog and respond to a question I will post. You must create an account in order to post, especially as I need to know your identity to give you a grade. Your response must show depth of thought and be at least one paragraph in length. I could possibly give bonus points for extensive responses or multiple posts.

In addition to responding to the weekly question, you may also ask questions about class assignments, requirements, my favorite foods, etc. I will set up a special post for these questions.

I plan on checking this blog daily. Questions will be posted on Monday, and the last day to post will be Friday of each week.

Charles Dickens writes extensively on the amazing power of mob mentality. How do these ideas connect to our modern society? What implications are there for human nature that we can be so easily caught up in a frenzy?
